Graduates of Glasgow's Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, our players are Scotland's leading young freelance professionals. We have performed with mainstream acts including Kayne West, Rod Stewart, Ronan Keating, Evanescence, Faithless, Susan Boyle, Belle & Sebastian, Frightened Rabbit, Eddi Reader, Twin Atlantic, Foy Vance, Andrea Bocelli, Alfie Boe, Katherine Jenkins, Ben Folds & Nick Howard.

We also work with orchestras including the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Scottish Opera, Scottish Chamber Orchestra & Scottish Ballet.

Playing regularly in all of Scotland’s leading wedding and events venues, we guarantee a performance of the highest quality which your guests will remember for years to come. We really love adding something special to each event!

Daniel Paterson

Originally from Edinburgh, Daniel initially studied with Nigel Murray and then with Olivier Lemoine and Justine Watts at the RCS. In addition to freelancing for Scottish Ballet since 2014, he’s performed with various groups including the BBC SSO, Scottish Opera, Ambassador Theatre Group, London Concertante and Manchester Camerata. He's also performed at the Commonwealth Games, the Ministry Of Sound's 'Annual Classical' and the BBC's 'Biggest Weekend' and has worked with artists including Andrea Bocelli, Katherine Jenkins, Evanescence, Belle & Sebastian and Faithless.

Heather Lynn

Heather Lynn studied with Betsy Taylor, David Connell, Aleksei Kiseliov & Alison Wells. Since graduating from the RCS, Heather maintains a busy freelance career including teaching and working with Live Music Now. She has also worked alongside artists such as Katherine Jenkins, Phil Cunningham & Echo and the Bunnymen.

Rachael Smart

Rachael studied at the RCS in Glasgow with Andrea Gajic before accepting a teaching post with Glasgow City Council where she now teaches violin and viola full time. In addition to freelancing, she also regularly performs with the Telemann Ensemble and is both leader and orchestral manager for Glasgow Sinfonia.

Anna-Louise Burns

Anna-Louise studied at RCS with Ani Batikian and Chris George. Following this she studied privately with Gina McCormick and Andrea Gajic. She has performed with various professional groups and orchestras including the Commonwealth Orchestra in London's Abbey Road Studios.

Annabel Kidd

Originally from the South of England, Annabel came to Scotland in 2015 to study at the RCS with Andrea Gajic and Donald Grant. She has performed in major venues across the UK including the Wigmore Hall and on both BBC radio and TV. She teached privately and works regularly in several schools across Scotland and England, leading chamber music workshops and masterclasses.

Anja Ormiston

Anja studied privately with Uli Fenner before joining the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s Junior Conservatoire, where she was awarded the Nan Christie Memorial Prize. Following this she studied at the RCS with Gina McCormack, continuing to play in various projects including the Scottish Opera mentoring scheme. Anja is currently studying for her masters degree on viola with Andrea Gajic.

Lorenzo Sánchez Pérez

Originally from Spain, Lorenzo studied at the Royal Conservatoire in Madrid and the Conservatorio Superior de Música in Córdoba. During this time he freelanced with numerous orchestras across Spain before moving to the Netherlands. There, he gained his Masters degree at ArtEZ Hogeschool Voor De Kunsten in Zwolle. Lorenzo now works with young people and the local community at Big Noise Douglas, part of Sistema Scotland.
