Who We Are
Graduates of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and now Scotland’s leading young freelance professionals, our players have performed in arenas with mainstream acts including Kayne West, Rod Stewart, Susan Boyle, Ronan Keating, Evanescence, Foy Vance, Andrea Bocelli, Alfie Boe, Katherine Jenkins, Belle & Sebastian, Twin Atlantic, Ben Folds, Eddie Reader & Nick Howard. We also work with orchestras including the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Scottish Opera, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Scottish Ballet, Manchester Camerata, London Symphony Orchestra, The Halle and Northern Sinfonia.

We have one of the largest playlists of music in Scotland, specialising in pop covers. Equally at home playing current chart toppers, pop classics, movie themes, musicals, jazz standards and classical favourites, we love entertaining and you can rest assured that we will add something special to your day which your guests and yourself will treasure both on the day itself and in the future. Also we now have over 100 recordings and videos for you to enjoy. We even have a video playlist of trio recordings so you can compare it with quartet and pick what you prefer!
Daniel studied with Nigel Murray in Edinburgh then with Olivier Lemoine & Justine Watts at the RCS in Glasgow during which time he performed with the RSNO. Groups & projects he’s performed with include the Scottish Chamber Music Players, London Concertante, Manchester Camerata, the Ambassador Theatre Group, Colours Classical & Hacienda Classical. He currently freelances for Scottish Ballet & the BBC SSO and has worked with mainstream acts including Andrea Bocelli, Katherine Jenkins, Belle & Sebastian, Evanescence & Eddie Reader.
Anja studied privately with Uli Fenner before joining the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s Junior Conservatoire, where she was awarded the Nan Christie Memorial Prize. Following this she studied at the RCS with Gina McCormack, continuing to play in various projects including the Scottish Opera mentoring scheme. Anja is currently studying for her masters degree on viola with Andrea Gajic.
Sarah studied with Patricia Field in Glasgow before gaining her degree at the RCS with Andrew Berridge, and then her masters at the RNCM with Ásdís Valdimarsdóttir. A member of Live Music Now Scotland, Sarah has performed in venues all across the UK, Wales and Saudi Arabia. Sarah enjoys performing a wide range of music and has performed with Goldfrapp, Rod Stewart, Kaleidoscope Orchestra, Fat-Suit and Sinfonia Cymru.
Sasha is originally from Colorado USA, where she studied privately with Margaret Miller before studying at Boston University with Karen Ritscher and Daniel Dona. Currently, she is on the masters programme at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland on the American violist scholarship studying with Duncan Ferguson. She competed at the Cavatina Intercollegiate Competition in London, and played in master classes for the Borromeo and Muir Quartets, Paul Colletti, Jeffrey Irvine, David Dolan, Victoria Chang, and Susan Dubois
Originally from Calgary Canada, Emily started playing the violin at the age of 4 before moving to study at the Colburn School in Los Angeles and later at the San Francisco Conservatoire with Ian Swensen. Since moving to Europe she has held orchestral positions in Berlin and Sweden and has now settled in Glasgow. Emily currently plays for the Irish Chamber Orchestra and Scottish Ballet.
Elias David Rooney studied with Robert Irvine at the RCS before furthering his studies privately with Andreas Brantelid in Copenhagen and Natalie Clein in London. He has appeared with mainstream acts such as Ronan Keating, Alfie Boe, Katherine Jenkins and Belle & Sebastian. Elias works regularly with English National Opera, Scottish Ballet, the Ulster Orchestra and RTÉ Concert Orchestra.
Kirsty Macleod is currently on the masters programme at the Royal Academy Of Music in London, having completed her undergrad at the RCS. She has studied with Simon Fischer, Lutsia Ibragimova, Leland Chen and Jacqueline Ross Kirsty has recently performed at the Cantilena Music Festival and Festival Music Alpe. She has performed with the RSNO, at the BBC Proms and alongside various well-known acts including Susan Boyle.
Heather MacLeod is currently on the masters programme at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, having previous studied at the RCS with Andrea Gajic. Heather has played with the Marianne Chamber Ensemble, Melios Chamber Orchestra, Scottish Ballet, Scottish Opera and the RSNO. She has also worked alongside mainstream artists such as Twin Atlantic, Susan Boyle, Delta Mainline, and Lou Hickey.
Abigail is currently studying privately with Andrea Gajic. During her time at RCS she was awarded the Mabel Glover Chamber Music Prize, competed at the Cavatina Intercollegiate Competition in London & performed at the Leeds Chamber Music Series. She has recently performed at the Cantelina Music Festival, the NJO Muziekzommer in the Netherlands & with the BBC SSO. She has also worked alongside popular artists such as Phil Cunningham, Susan Boyle a& Mick Harvey.
Originally from Hungary, Balázs initially studied with György Déri at the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest then with Robert Irvine at the RCS in Glasgow. He has performed concertos with several professional orchestras and has won various competitions including the Agimus for Premio Citta di Padova. At the age of 21, he was offered a trial for Principal Cello of Scottish Opera. Additionally he has appeared with the Scottish Ensemble at the Wigmore Hall and is currently on trial for Principal Cello No. 2 in the BBC Concert Orchestra, London. He is a beneficiary of the Suggia Award by Help Musicians UK.
Your music was fabulous and it entertained our guests perfectly. Thanks for being so amazing even though we were running a bit late. Everyone loved the day and your presence added that extra sparkle!
